Why MPA
Growing up in both a suburb of Madison and a small rural farm town, I gained a unique perspective on the common issues that disparate communities face, instilling a desire to strengthen intercommunity ties. I see shared challenges like climate change as opportunities to build bridges between different communities rather than points of division. This perspective motivated my decision to pursue an MPA and develop critical skills to be an effective public servant.
Why the La Follette School?
As an undergraduate student at UW–Madison, I found the Accelerated program highly appealing because I’ll be able to graduate in five years with a master’s degree that provides me with a real-world skill set.
Career goals
I am seeking value-driven work specifically related in environmental initiatives. I am drawn to the non-profit and public sector and would like to specifically work on policy development, community organizing, and direct conservation projects.
