Demetri Vincze (MPA ’16) was named homeless programs grant manager for the Minnesota Department of Human Services in January. He previously served as homeless management information system (HMIS) director and a project manager for the Institute for Community Alliances (ICA).
Timothy Williams (MPA ’16) accepted a new role as deputy director of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia. Williams previously worked as a consultant for Dave Wickstrom Consulting in North Carolina and for Grant Thornton from September 2019 to January 2021. While at the La Follette School, he served as a project assistant for Director and Professor Susan Webb Yackee.
Miranda Ehrlich (MPA ’17) was promoted to federal field director with the Sierra Club. She previously served as the organization’s national field coordinator and associate organizing representative. While at the La Follette School, Ehrlich created a debate team at Madison East High School and managed it until August 2019. The Wisconsin Debate Coaches’ Association named her Coach of the Year for 2017–2018.
Ruanda McFerren (MPA, MS ’18) began a new role as grants program manager for the City of Overland Park in Missouri. She previously worked for the City of Kansas City as a program manager from 2020 to 2022 and as a Cookingham-Noll Management Fellow from June 2018 to December 2019. As program manager, she managed contracts with area agencies funded with federal Community Development Block Grant dollars, oversaw special projects, developed and maintained policies and procedures for the City’s Housing Division, and managed the division’s performance reporting for the Citywide Business Plan.
Craig Vruwink (MPA ’19) has been promoted to budget and policy analyst with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC). He previously served as a program and policy analyst advanced with DOC. From September 2019 to March 2021, Vruwink worked in the Office of State Sen. Fred Risser, and while attending the La Follette School, he was an administrative intern with the City of Middleton.
