Why a MPA?
Before coming here, I had the opportunity to work in a governmental organization. During this experience, my passion for public service was solidified and it motivated me to pursue an MPA. Through advanced education, I believe I can deepen my understanding of policy analysis and position myself to make an impact in public administration.
Why the La Follette School?
My research into universities offering MPA programs was a critical part of my decision-making process. Given my strong interest in international relations, I was particularly focused on finding a program that could provide a comprehensive understanding of both public administration and global governance. As I explored various options, I found that the University of Wisconsin-Madison stood out due to its strong interdisciplinary approach, which integrates political science, policy analysis, and international affairs.
How have your La Follette School courses and/or experiences set you on the path to meeting your career goals?
My courses at the La Follette School have equipped me with the analytical tools and policy knowledge essential for my career goals. The program’s emphasis on real-world applications and practical experience has also prepared me to engage in impactful work within governmental organizations, particularly in the field of international relations. These experiences have solidified my confidence in pursuing a career dedicated to serving my country and contributing to global diplomacy.
Before La Follette
I was working as public relations advisor at the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Anything else?
My favorite hobby is spending time alone, enjoying activities I love, such as watching historical movies.
