Seven UW–Madison undergraduate students received certificates in public policy from the La Follette School along with their bachelor’s degrees in December 2020.
The La Follette School launched its Undergraduate Certificate in Public Policy program in 2019 with funding from the Kohl Initiative. More than 150 students are enrolled in the program, which had 19 students in its first graduating class in May 2020.
The seven December 2020 graduates received degrees in neurobiology, economics, environmental science, political science, and psychology.
Two of the graduates – Ariel Feldman and Eliza Kruszynski – had internships with Midwest Environmental Advocates, while Seline Wiedemer served as an intern for State Rep. Jodi Emerson. Certificate recipient Evan Trevithick also had internships with Voice of America and The Public Good Projects.
Enrollment in the certificate program for fall 2021 begins in May.
