Career goals
After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue either law school or a graduate program, depending on which path best aligns with my long-term professional goals. If I choose law school, I intend to work as a paralegal at least one year beforehand in order to gain practical legal experience and further develop my interests within the field. Ultimately, I aspire to build a career in government, and I am open to opportunities at both the state and federal levels.
Internships
During my first year, I worked as a canvasser for an environmental nonprofit organization that focused on advocating for and lobbying in support of environmental legislation. In this role, I engaged directly with community members to raise awareness about policy initiatives and build grassroots support.
Since last summer, I have worked for a Wisconsin State Representative. In this role, I assist with constituent services, policy research, and administrative tasks, while also observing the legislative process at the state level. I was particularly interested in this opportunity because it allows me to gain direct exposure to government operations and better understand how policy is developed and implemented.
