La Follette students consider how the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families might improve in-patient mental health services for youth.
Summary
Students identified potential opportunities for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide better in-patient mental health services to youth using existing regulations. Students compared mental health programs in six states that utilize Medicaid funding and provided recommendations on how DCF’s Division of Safety and Permanence could leverage Medicaid funding to fill in gaps and provide better support for youth mental health in Wisconsin
