About
Anne Oyamada joined the La Follette School in February 2023 as the department administrator. In this role, she supervises the school’s administrative team and oversees the budget, hiring, and personnel matters.
Before joining UW–Madison, she worked as the senior advisor for Student Success Initiatives and Operations with UW System Administration. There she collaborated with faculty, staff, and students across all 13 UW System institutions on the planning and implementation of various student success initiatives including the Student Behavioral Health Initiative, Student Success Summit Series, and 360 Advising Initiative. Prior to her position with UW System Administration, she worked as a research scientist at the University of New Mexico’s Institute for Social Research.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from the University of New Mexico and her master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
