Kathleen Doherty has worked in both the public and non-profit sectors for more than 30 years. As a consultant, instructor, researcher, coach, and educator, she thrives on understanding the nuances and origins of policy perspectives that span the political spectrum. Building on sociology, education, and geography degrees from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, UW–Madison and UW–Milwaukee, she uses multifaceted classroom discourse structures to analyze policies across the health care, agriculture, environmental, and education sectors, as well as those grounded in students’ lived experiences.
