Over the 2022-2023 academic year, the La Follette School’s continued growth has allowed the school to educate more future leaders than ever before. The undergraduate certificate programs in public policy and health policy are wildly popular, and demand for policy education is at an all-time high. Enrollment in the school’s two undergraduate certificate programs has increased six-fold in the past four years, and 50 amazing master’s degree graduates were honored in May.
Faculty, staff, and students have come together to imagine how the school could support this growth by creating an undergraduate major in public policy, a move that would position the La Follette School as a global leader in policy education. The school is also working towards a potential new home on campus to house the growing La Follette community.
Updates on these exciting changes, which will position the La Follette School to better address the country’s most pressing policy challenges, are featured in the 2022-2023 Highlights Report. The report was mailed to more than 3,000 alumni, donors, and friends of the La Follette School.
“I am inspired by our students, alumni, and faculty every day,” says La Follette School Director and Professor Susan Webb Yackee. “I hope you enjoy reading about the La Follette School’s achievements from the past year and that you share in my excitement for what’s to come.”
