The La Follette School is pleased to announce a $100,000 pledge from Craig Culver, co-founder of Culver’s, to support the school’s mission of preparing the next generation of public leaders.
Culver noted the connection between La Follette’s mission and two pillars that have guided his company from the start: putting people first and leading by example. “At Culver’s, we’ve always believed that if you take care of people—your guests, your team, your community—everything else follows,” he said. “Supporting the La Follette School is one way to lead by example and invest in leaders who are committed to serving others and strengthening our communities.”
La Follette School Director Susan Yackee said the gift underscores a natural alignment of values. “Putting people first is at the heart of effective public service,” she said. “Craig Culver’s leadership and generosity reflect the kind of example we encourage our students to follow—one grounded in service, integrity, and action. This support helps us prepare graduates who not only understand policy, but who are ready to lead with purpose.”
Together, the partnership highlights a shared Wisconsin ethos: that leadership begins with people and is sustained by those willing to step forward and serve.
