Derek Field (MPA ’16) started a new position as institutional policy analyst at UW–Madison, where he will use his data tools to analyze UW–Madison’s student, academic, and financial data to answer institutional policy questions for important decisions on campus. Previously, Field worked as a data and analytics liaison at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Field is also running for Madison City Council (District 3). Elections are April 4.

Nathaniel Haack (MPA ’20) recently accepted a position as a budget analyst for the City of Milwaukee. Previously, Haack worked as a policy analyst at Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and as a fellowship officer at the UW–Madison Graduate School, where he improved services and resources for students seeking off-campus fellowships.

Hannah Stewart (MIPA ’21) recently started a new position as a senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, a business and government consulting firm with expertise in analytics and engineering services. Previously, Stewart was an associate at Guidehouse. While completing her MIPA, she worked as a policy researcher for Downtown Madison, Inc.

Christine Welcher (MIPA ’21) started a new position as executive director at Monona East Side Business Alliance. The position will combine her love of small, local businesses with her skills in networking, analysis, and problem-solving. Previously, Welcher worked at QuestionPro as an account director – academic and non-profit.
