Denia Garcia recently completed postdoctoral work at Indiana University’s Department of Sociology and Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society. Garcia’s work examines the role of space and organizations in shaping how inequalities are experienced and reproduced. Garcia also studies participatory budgeting, race, and skin color in the United States and Latin America, and access to public benefits among urban families using quantitative methods.
