About

As a part of the NASPAA Virtual DC Trek, MPA and MPP students interested in the international development sector will hear from industry leaders in academia and NGO’s about how the industry has pivoted and adapted in the wake of the demise of USAID and its implementing partner ecosystem. We will learn about the current state of the industry from those that have navigated the recent changes. What does it take to remain and continue to build a career in international development? Conversely, to pivot to other mission driven spaces, like US-based nonprofits, CSR roles, state/local government, etc – what was that like and how does one navigate that process?
