About

This session is a part of the 2025 DC Virtual Trek Series. This session is open to NASPAA affiliated students, and will be hosted by the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan.

Latesha Love, Director, International Affairs and Trade, and Amanda Bartine, Senior Analyst, International Affairs and Trade,  will discuss the student volunteer program, student paid internships, and employment opportunities at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). They will be joined by additional colleagues virtually.

The GAO is known as “the investigative arm of Congress” and “the congressional watchdog.” GAO is an independent, nonpartisan agency that conducts a wide range of public policy studies to support Congress in meeting its constitutional responsibilities and helps improve the performance and accountability of the federal government for the benefit of the American people.
