Join us Wednesday, January 28 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. for this virtual session designed to prepare you with information and resources in applying to state jobs across the state of Illinois. During our time together, we’ll hear from experienced practitioners with actionable advice and insider insights.

About

This event will begin with a welcome from Jaime Velazquez, Government College Relations Committee Chair and President, followed by a panel discussion on how to jumpstart a career in public service with Illinois state agencies. Participants will then choose between two breakout sessions: Networking into Public Service, led by Marty Gahbauer, Executive Director of the Weigand Career Center for Professional Excellence at Elmhurst University, or Tips for an Effective State Resume, led by Danny Blough, Assistant Director of Employee Relations at Loyola University.
