Introductory course | 3 credits
Public Affairs 201 | Introduction to Health Policy in the United States
Students must complete a core course before declaring the certificate. We recommend starting with PA 201 to build foundational knowledge. There is no priority enrollment for PA 201. Students who have declared the major or certificate receive priority enrollment in all other certificate courses.
Analytical skills course | 3 credits
Health policy specialization course | 3 credits
This course allows you to choose a course focused on policy-related issues in your major or area of policy interest (e.g., climate/environment, health economics, social policy, public health).
Internship or workshop course | 3 credits
Students can complete a policy-related internship with a companion course during a semester or summer. Alternatively, they may complete a health policy workshop course when offered. Seniors receive priority enrollment for workshop courses.
