Initiatives to increase corporate social responsibility (CSR) stem from a diverse set of stakeholders with varying motivations. However, there is substantial potential for collaboration to achieve their respective goals. Using data from B Lab, a nonprofit organization that certifies companies and organizations committed to social responsibility, this report describes areas where organizations and companies excel while achieving positive social and environmental impact. It also shows that, as a tool for certifying corporate social responsibility, B Lab’s free and online B Impact Assessment is well-designed and places diverse organizations and companies on equal footing when it comes to quantifying and legitimizing their CSR.
