About
Mo O’Connor serves as the Graduate Program Manager at the La Follette School of Public Affairs. She is passionate about working with prospective applicants and current students and supporting them as they progress toward their academic and career goals. She enjoys sharing information about the many academic options available to prospective students at recruiting events and in individual appointments, including joint degrees with Law, Neuroscience, Public Health, and Urban Planning. She also works with incoming and current students as an academic advisor. Mo brings two decades of campus experience to this position.
Mo is a proud Badger alum of the African Cultural Studies and Women’s Studies programs. She completed graduate work in the Columbia University School of the Arts and Columbia University Teachers College and has a master of fine arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing and a master of education (Ed.M.) in English education.
Outside of the office, Mo enjoys paddle boarding on Lake Mendota or Monona, reading and writing poetry, and meditating. Her two rescue dogs also keep her busy.
