Office Hours at the Capitol

Office Hours at the Capitol is a twice-yearly, drop-in event for legislators and staff to connect with UW–Madison faculty and staff who are doing research on timely public policy issues.

Each event features four to six UW–Madison experts on topics such as water quality, workforce and economic development, adolescent brain development, and criminal justice policy. Participants also connect with faculty and staff leading a variety of UW–Madison policymaker outreach efforts, such as the Wisconsin Family Impact Seminars, Evidence-Based Health Policy Project, and Prenatal to Five Initiative. Participants receive a handout with each experts’ contact information and top three takeaways for legislators.
