Client-based projects for Public Management students sought
The La Follette School of Public Affairs is seeking client-based projects for its Introduction to Public Management course. Students in the graduate-level course work in teams to complete the projects under the direction of Director and Professor Don Moynihan.
National Legislative Program Evaluation event features 3 faculty, 4 alumni
La Follette School Professors Don Moynihan and Dave Weimer offered presentations about their areas of expertise during the 2017 National Legislative Program Evaluation Society (NLPES) Conference in Madison this fall. Associate Director Hilary Shager also served on a panel discussion about recruiting and onboarding evaluators during the event.

While in Madison for the Cap Times’ Idea Fest, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar discussed the current political climate with 16 La Follette School students. Klobuchar expressed concern about several issues, while at the same time expressing optimism because of the people she meets across the country.

Student project prompts changes in Monterey County
California’s County of Monterey is implementing several recommendations from a student project in Professor Don Moynihan’s Performance Management class. Kate Battiato (MPA ’07), a management analyst in Monterey County’s Resource Management Agency (RMA), proposed and coordinated the students’ work.
