This summer, 21 women from around the state of participated in the 16th leadership training seminar sponsored by Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG) and the La Follette School of Public Affairs.
Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG) welcomed 26 women into its ranks after a leadership seminar in May led by La Follette School Director and Professor Susan Webb Yackee and Dennis Dresang, emeritus professor of public affairs and political science.
UW–Madison Chancellor Rebecca Blank presented the La Follette School and the Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG) with a Community-University Partnership Award on Wednesday, June 27. The award recognizes the School’s long-time collaboration with WWIG in providing leadership training for women who work in or interact with local, state, and federal government.
Applications for the 2019 Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG) Leadership Seminar are due March 29. La Follette School Director and Professor Susan Webb Yackee and Professor Emeritus Dennis Dresang once again will lead the seminar, which begins Thursday, May 9.
