More than 50 alumni, friends of the La Follette School and faculty renewed their friendships and ties to their alma mater at the school's reception in Washington, D.C., on November 5.
Professor emeritus Dennis Dresang and donors to the scholarship fund named for him will be recognized at the La Follette School's annual Madison reception on Thursday, February 6, at Inn on the Park, 22 South Carroll Street, on the Capitol Square.

A two-year stopover in Wisconsin created lifelong friendships for Erin McGrath. She came to the La Follette Institute in 1993 with her husband, who enrolled in the economics department's master's program. "It was a two-year plan. We moved to Madison, lived there for two years and moved on," says McGrath, who 11 years after graduating, McGrath is still looking back.

More than 60 alumni and friends plan to attend the La Follette School's Madison reception on Thursday, February 5, at Inn on the Park's Top of the Park, 22 South Carroll St., from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Expert to discuss urban education

An expert on urban education policy will address alumni and friends of the La Follette School at an evening presentation,  "Rethinking Local School Governance: Tensions and Strategies," today, November 16, at the Milwaukee Athletic Club at 5:30 p.m. Guests are invited to a 4 p.m. reception.
The La Follette School invites Washington, D.C.-area alumni and friends of the school to attend a reception on Thursday, November 5, at the Washington Marriott Hotel, 1221 22nd St. N.W. The reception is 6-7:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
Based on earlier findings, La Follette School students and faculty were stunned at the results of Saturday's dodgeball tournament: They won a match.

Fightin' Bobs defeat URPL in kickball

With a score of 11-10, the La Follette School's Fightin' Bobs defeated the team from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning in kickball.
Public affairs students will face off with students from the Urban and Regional Planning Department in a kickball game on Friday, October 14, at 4 p.m. at Vilas Park.
