Student association selling shirts

The La Follette School Student Association is selling T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts. Orders are due Friday, September 16.

Student association board to meet tonight

The La Follette School Student Association board will meet  Wednesday, September 14, in  the Sewell Social Sciences Building lobby at 5:30 p.m., then moving to a classroom by 5:40 p.m.

Student tour campus, do ropes course

About 25 students participated in a ropes course on Thursday. Others toured campus on Wednesday. The La Follette School Student Association organized both outings as part of a weeklong series of orientation activities for new students.

"The unprecedented level of exchange across borders, not only in trade, commerce and communication, but also in ideology and culture puts a premium on all of us to think about how our actions affect communities around the world."

DeLeire becomes La Follette School director

Thomas DeLeire is the new director of the La Follette School of Public Affairs.
New and continuing students from the La Follette School enjoyed happy hour on Memorial Union's terrace on August 29 as part of the orientation activities the La Follette School Student Association has organized this week.
Eleven students from the La Follette School cut and stacked brush and removed invasive plants from an area at the university Arboretum on Monday. The volunteer activity kicked of the La Follette School's orientation week.
