Three 2009 La Follette School graduates will give an encore of their workshop presentation to a Milwaukee Common Council committee in July. After hearing their recommendations on municipal solid waste collection fees in May, Mayor Tom Barrett suggested that the students share their findings with the Common Council.

’12 grad to run health clinic in Belize

2012 alum Carly Hood is taking her health policy experience to southern Belize, where she has accepted a position as clinic and public health director at a clinic.

She says good-by to Wisconsin in a post on the Wisconsin Population Health Service Fellowship blog, where she was a fellow for two years after completing dual master’s degrees in public affairs and public health.

1982 alum Daniel Speckhard will become the next president and chief executive officer of Lutheran World Relief in July.
