Don Nichols memorial service is March 16

A memorial service for Donald Nichols will be held Saturday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. in the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street, Madison.
Wisconsin as a case study of the complex and dynamic relationships among the state, tribes and the federal government will be discussed in a noon seminar Tuesday, November 12, in the La Follette School conference room. 

The Behavioral Insights in Government (BIG) series continues this fall with presentations by Robert Dur of Erasmus School of Economics, Netherlands, and Eileen Chou of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.

Imagine and Adapt: Possibilities in a Changing World is the theme for the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies’ Earth Day Conference. The daylong event on April 22 will explore the impact of climate change as well as innovative solutions for adapting to this new reality.

Ebola vaccine breakthrough to be discussed

University researcher Dr. Yoshihiro Kawaoka will present his groundbreaking research on Ebola next week as part of an April 21 legislative briefing by the Evidence Based Health Policy Project.

Banque de France economist Gong Cheng will give a talk titled "A Growth Perspective on Foreign Reserve Accumulation" on Wednesday, March 20, at 1:30 p.m. in 7324 Sewell Social Sciences.
Pierre Koning will discuss his paper on the use of performance-based incentives in contracts with Dutch private social welfare providers serving unemployed and disabled workers today, October 13, at noon in the La Follette School conference room.
What's best for the economy in the short and the long term is the subject of a presentation being given as part of a gathering for alumni and friends on Wednesday, October 10, at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, 758 North Broadway.
