More than 40 alumni and friends of the La Follette School plan to attend the reception in Madison on Thursday at Inn on the Park, 22 South Carroll Street. The gathering starts at 4:30 p.m., and guests are encouraged to stop by anytime before 7 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres and cash bar.
More than 50 alumni, friends of the La Follette School and faculty renewed their friendships and ties to their alma mater at the school's reception in Washington, D.C., on November 4.

David Axelrod shared his deeply personal connection with health care reform during a 90-minute conversation with La Follette School students September 28. As a senior adviser to President Barack Obama, Axelrod understood the political risks of the issue and was deeply conflicted about it.


Health economist Katherine Baicker will give the 2017 Paul Offner Lecture on Tuesday, November 28 at the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street. Her presentation, The Effect of Medicaid Spending, Health, and Well-Being: Evidence and Implications for Reform, begins at 4:30 p.m.

La Follette School students, faculty and staff can participate in an informal discussion about the policy and budgetary implications of Wisconsin's budget bill will take place today, March 1, at noon in the school's conference room.

CBO staff to talk with students Feb. 6

Students can learn about working for the Congressional Budget Office at a session on Wednesday, February 6, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the La Follette School conference room.

The La Follette School of Public Affairs is hosting a reception for alumni, friends, faculty, students, and staff Thursday, November 2 at Club Quarters, 75 East Wacker Drive. Earlier that day, a group of students will participate in the La Follette in Chicago career development program.
