Policy and a Pint set for March 13

The La Follette School's Policy and a Pint presents Kevin Jones, director of the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory System, on Wednesday, March 13, 5-7 p.m. in the upstairs room of Brocach on the Square, 7 West Main Street.
La Follette School students visited the World Council of Credit Unions in Madison on April 5 to learn about career opportunities, especially for students earning a Master of International Public Affairs degree.
An alum and a human resources specialist for the State of Wisconsin will talk with students about getting state jobs from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the La Follette School conference room.

Allison Vaillancourt believes people should be treated well and that organizations should have healthy cultures — so much so that the Chronicle of Higher Education asked her to write a blog to share her perspectives. The 1990 alum provides strategic leadership in human capital and organizational culture at the University of Arizona, where she is vice president for the Division of Human Resources.

3 Policy and a Pint speakers set

The La Follette School's Policy and a Pint after-work speaker and networking series has another great lineup of speakers planned for spring semester, with the opening session on Wednesday, January 23.
Students can learn about job opportunities in health informatics at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in an information session on with Friday, March 15, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in the La Follette School conference room.
Students can learn tips for networking at the La Follette School's next professional development seminar on Tuesday, March 5, at noon in the La Follette School conference room.
