Students discuss obesity recommendations

The Fightin' Bobs' 10-page policy analysis memo and the slide presentation prepared for the 2013 Challenge on policies to respond to childhood obesity is available online.

Second-year students Miriam Palmer and Selina Eadie appeared on television on WKOW Channel 27 News on March 28, at 5 p.m. to discuss suggestions they and three other students have for reducing childhood obesity.

The team won the national Policy Solutions Challenge USA on March 22-23 in Washington, D.C. The other members are Andrew Walsh, Norma-Jean Simon and Jiaqi Lu. Students also shared their recommendations with anti-obesity advocates in the Madison area this week.
