Seminar to explore universities, accountability policies

Alisa Hicklin Fryar, political science professor at the University of Oklahoma, will discuss "Accountability Policies and High-Poverty Universities: The Disparate Effects of Performance Funding Policies" at a La Follette School seminar on Tuesday, November 16, at noon in the school conference room.

Hicklin Fryar focuses her primary research on the ways in which state policies — particularly accountability policies — and governance structures affect the management and performance of public universities, with an emphasis on student graduation rates. Her other research interests include public management, immigration policy, and the politics of race and ethnicity.

The Institute for Research on Poverty is co-sponsoring the seminar with the La Follette School.
