More than 65 alumni and friends, new and continuing students, faculty and staff are expected at a picnic on the La Follette School grounds from 5 to 7 p.m. today, July 19.
Guests will gather for the Hillside Fest on the lawns of the La Follette School to grill, share side dishes, play yard games, socialize and maybe even network. Inclement weather will move the party inside. Last year's gathering drew more than 60 people.
"We'll have lawn games and door prizes," says career development coordinator Kate Battiato, who is organizing the event.
The La Follette School La Follette will provide burgers, brats and fixings, soda, water, tables, chairs, plates, utensils, napkins. Guests are asked to bring a dish to share and additional beverages that they may want.
Children, families and friends are welcome -- at least 10 children are expected this year. Free parking is available after 4:30 p.m. in lot 26 at the school and along Observatory Drive and lot 34 across Observatory Drive from the La Follette School (between Liz Waters Hall and Tripp Commons).
