Anne Case, The Great Divide: Education, Despair & Death
Anne Case, author of Deaths of Despair and the Future of Capitalism, gave an account of how the flaws in capitalism are harming America’s working class. The event was funded by the by the Hilldale Lecture Fund, the Center for Demography and Healthy Aging, and the Paul Offner Lecture Fund.

Catherine Rampell: Journalist in Residence
Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell is UW–Madison’s spring 2022 Public Affairs Journalist in Residence. The La Follette School partnered with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to sponsor a virtual event covering Rampell’s career, journalism, and the policy issues she covers.
