More than 85 expected at picnic Tuesday

More than 85 alumni, friends, students, faculty and staff have accepted the invitation from Belle and Bob La Follette to attend Hillside Fest at their home at the Observatory Hill Office Building (aka the La Follette School) on Tuesday, July 20.

About 30 alumni will join faculty, staff and about 20 students from 5 to 7 p.m. on the lawns of the La Follette School to grill, share side dishes, play croquet and ladder golf, socialize and maybe even network. Inclement weather will move the party inside, but the forecast for the early evening looks promising and relatively cool.

"The La Follette School will provide burgers, brats, buns, condiments, table service, soda and water. Guests are asked to bring a dish to share and additional beverages that they may want. Guests who did not RSVP by the 16th should also bring their own meat to grill and let organizer Mary Russell, This email address is being protected from spambots. Children, families and friends are welcome. Free parking is available after 4:30 p.m. in lot 26 at the school and along Observatory Drive and lot 34 across Observatory Drive from the La Follette School (between Liz Waters Hall and Tripp Commons).
