Grad ties good health to education

2012 alum Carly Hood marked National Public Health Week with an op-ed in the April 7 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel emphasizing how education can help improve long-term population health, particularly for Wisconsin's most impoverished communities. "A solid education is an individual's primary method for securing financial stability, which not only increases access to healthy foods and safe communities but also promotes an individual's ability to provide his or her children with quality child care and educational experiences," Hood notes.
