Public health coverage is the topic of a La Follette School seminar on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 12:30 p.m. in 8417 Sewell Social Sciences.

School director Tom DeLeire will discuss recent research that combines administrative and survey data to estimate the fraction of individuals newly enrolled in public health coverage who had access to private, employer-sponsored health insurance at the time of their enrollment and the fraction that dropped this coverage. He will contrast those findings with estimates of crowd-out from the literature based on expansions of Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program.

The title of his talk is "Estimates of Crowd-Out from a Public Health  Insurance Expansion Using Administrative Data."
