The La Follette School of Public Affairs is seeking client project proposals for its fall 2020 Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) course. Graduate students in the course work in teams on a real-world issue for an actual client, providing excellent learning opportunities for students and useful products for clients.
The course provides the conceptual foundations and skills that prepare students to be sophisticated consumers and producers of cost-benefit analysis. During the semester, the teams make several written and oral progress reports and provide clients with a presentation of their cost-benefit analysis upon its completion.
Previous clients include Midwest Environmental Advocates, the Living Environments Laboratory, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Lutheran Health Alliance, Landcare International, World Bank, United Way Fox Cities, the Horizons Regional Council of New Zealand, National Nuclear Security Administration, and the Illinois Sentencing Policy Advisory Council.
