Internship Location: Remote
Organization Type: Nonprofit
Policy Areas: Health Care Policy
My time at Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association has truly taught me the importance of advocating for health care policy and the affordable, adequate access to health care resources. I have learned about the needs of Wisconsin communities and how Community Health Centers are helping to address these needs and fill gaps in care that traditional health care systems miss. This internship has helped me to grow my skills of communication, project management, health care policy knowledge, writing, and much more. I have gained a deeper sense of what I want to do in my future career path from this internship, and I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to go into political social work.
