I learned the intricacies of the legislative process, the importance of community engagement, and the impact of effective policy-making. Working closely with Rep Stubbs and her staff, I gained insights into how laws are crafted, negotiated, and implemented. My public policy training was invaluable. It equipped me with the ability to analyze legislation, understand the implications of policy decisions, and communicate complex ideas clearly. These skills allowed me to contribute meaningfully to discussions and projects in the office. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of collaboration across party lines. Despite political differences, there was a genuine effort to work together for the common good. This experience highlighted the potential for bipartisan cooperation in achieving meaningful legislative outcomes. The most valuable aspect was the opportunity to engage directly with constituents.
