I truly loved my internship experience at Results for America. I worked under a great team who were all super supportive in making sure I got the most out of my time with them. I was able to meet with each member of my department which I found to be super valuable. Not only did it allow me to expand my network, but I was also able to learn from my colleagues’ past experiences. Learning about all of their career paths really showed me that the “traditional” education path isn’t all that common. This brought me a lot of comfort as someone who is still doing a bit of exploring. Through my main projects, I learned how to do desk research, design a Qualtrics survey from beginning to end, and run data analyses using Tableau and R. I also gained more experience working in Google Sheets and learned new functions that I know will be useful for future projects. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of tasks I was given. I felt like I was able to learn even more by getting the chance to work on numerous projects. In all, this internship made me more confident that this is the field for me. I was invested in my work and truly felt like I was making a difference. Being able to see the impact of the work that I was doing was really rewarding. Because of the wonderful work environment and all that I was able to learn, I wholeheartedly recommend this internship!
