Policy Areas: Child Visitation/Divorce
My experience at the Institute for Research on Poverty has opened my eyes to the great diversity of policy research opportunities and the various ways that students on campus can gain key knowledge for the field. This internship has given me the opportunity to learn how to use new tools for data collection, understanding court documents, and a greater understanding of the court process. My classes with the La Follette School of Public Affairs have equipped me with the proper knowledge to understand and analysis public policy and its application. I would most definitely recommend this internship opportunity to future students as it allows people to understand the world of policy, giving them a key advantage over the competition. Overall, I believe that this internship has equipped me with the tools necessary to continue in this field in the future.
