While interning for the Climate Solutions and Health Research Group, I have been able to explore my passion for climate change, health and equity while strengthening my understanding of science communication and research policy. This summer I worked under Dr. Stull, an environmental health scientist, and spearheaded a food waste reduction project across campus. The project required bringing together University Housing, Office of Sustainability, and Center for Sustainability and Global Environment. I learned about leadership, teamwork, and overcoming obstacles through creating stakeholder task lists, formulating proposals, and leading meetings.
