I learned about city planning processes and community development strategies. LFS classes on policy analysis helped me understand how certain policies would have certain effects. I was surprised at how limited city governments are by state level policies, and by local conditions. I would recommend this internship to other students who want an in depth understanding of how higher level policies and conditions affect local governments.
