As the Administrative Assistant, Emma Wasserstrom welcomes everyone who visits the La Follette School and is the first point of contact for those who reach out to the School electronically or by phone. Emma provides faculty and staff with administrative support, including travel arrangements and expense reimbursement. She also ensures that the school is running smoothly as the building manager for the historic La Follette School house. In addition, she serves as assistant to the director and as a resource for students.
Emma most recently worked in the International Relations Department at an engineering university in France. Before that, she was part of the team welcoming international students to UW–Madison with the Visiting International Student Program. She developed her passion for international education as an undergraduate studying at Sciences-Po in Aix-en-Provence, France. Emma earned a master's degree in international education in the Professional French Masters Program and a bachelor’s degree in political science from UW–Madison. She is a lifelong Madisonian and an avid cat lover.
