For the past 15 years, David Ehrlich has taught policy design and analysis, environmental policy, introduction to public administration, organizational theory and behavior, and other courses at Illinois Institute of Technology and DePaul University. His tenure at DePaul’s School of Public Service included one year as chair of the Leadership and Policy Studies Degree program.
Before his academic career, Ehrlich was a senior analyst for the US Government Accountability Office, where he briefed members of Congress, congressional committees, and nongovernmental groups on legislation and policy design issues. Ehrlich also served as a senior legislative assistant and a legislative aide for two members of the US House of Representatives.
He has authored or co-authored reports related to energy and the environment, innovative policy approaches, transportation finance, airline safety, flight training, healthcare, occupational safety, federal education assistance, energy and environmental issues, and military weapons systems.
Ehrlich received his doctorate degree in political science from Wayne State University and his master's in public policy from Georgetown University.
