Picnic to welcome La Follette School students, staff, faculty and instructors to the fall semester.
Registration is greatly appreciated, but not required to attend.
About this event
To kick off the academic year and welcome everyone back to campus, we are hosting our annual fall picnic for all La Follette School students, staff, faculty, and faculty affiliates on Thursday, September 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Join us as we welcome new students, connect with classmates and colleagues, and make new connections. We will gather on Observatory Hill overlooking Lake Mendota between the Washburn Observatory and the La Follette School, which is located at 1225 Observatory Drive. We’ll have picnic food, a snow cone truck, and lawn games.
Transportation
Free parking is available after 4:30 p.m. along Observatory Drive (Lot 26) and in Lot 34 between Elizabeth Waters Residence Hall and Tripp Residence Hall (Map). Several bus routes including the 38, 80, 82, and 84 also have stops close to the La Follette School.
