Graduating master’s degree students will be celebrated in an event at the Wisconsin State Capitol.
Tickets are required to attend this event.
Schedule
- 2 p.m. — Graduate arrival
- 2:15 p.m. — Doors open
- 2:30 p.m. — Graduate photo
- 3 p.m. — Ceremony start
- 4 p.m. — Ceremony end
A reception with small desserts will take place in the Capitol rotunda after the ceremony.

Speakers
- Student speaker: Francie Fink, MPA, EAP student
- Faculty speaker: Professor Tana Johnson
- Keynote speaker: Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky (MA ‘92)
- Commencement speaker: Dr. Donna Shalala, Former United States Secretary of Health and Human Services and Chancellor of UW–Madison. Dr. Shalala will receive an honorary degree from UW–Madison this May for which she was nominated by the La Follette School.
