Matthew Yglesias, a founder of, will join two La Follette School faculty members for the discussion “Trump as Policymaker: A First-Year Report Card” on Monday, March 19. The hour-long presentation at UW-Madison's Memorial Union begins at 5 p.m.; a reception will follow.

Yglesias will share his thoughts on the most interesting policy changes during President Donald Trump’s first 14 months in office, identifying the disjuncture between what policy issues have received the most attention and what areas have seen the most significant change.

Professor Pam Herd, Associate Professor Mark Copelovitch, and Yglesias then will identify the Trump Administration’s most critical domestic and foreign policy and administrative changes, including those that have not dominated the headlines. The three panelists also will answer audience questions.
