Thirteen alumni and friends of the school carried out mock interviews with 34 first-year La Follette school students, giving each practice at interviewing for a job.

Arkansas legislators saw videos 2013 alum Phillip Duran filmed, directed and produced during an education committee hearing in Little Rock in November.

La Follette School faculty and alumni presented research and participated in discussions at the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management conference in November.

Two dozen La Follette School students descended on Chicago November 6 for a whirlwind career exploration visit, the second such event sponsored by the school in the past year.

Alum Lisa Ellinger will speak at the Thursday, November 20, Policy After Work Series at Broacach, 7 West Main, from 5-7 p.m.

2008 alum Andria Hayes-Birchler will discuss her work as a senior development policy officer with the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a U.S. foreign assistance agency, in a seminar Tuesday, November 11, from noon to 1 p.m. in 225 Ingraham Hall.

Twenty-nine La Follette School students are going to Chicago on Thursday, November 6, for a career development visit that culminates with an alumni reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce in the Wrigley Building, Suite 900, 410 N. Michigan Avenue.

Alumni and other public policy professionals sat down with 39 La Follette School students to talk about careers at a speed-networking session October 27.

Alumni and friends in the Chicago area are invited to a reception on Thursday, November 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce in the Wrigley Building, 410 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 900.

The La Follette School’s Policy After Work Series starts at Wednesday, September 24, with 2006 alum Christian Moran, a budget and policy analyst with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The networking session is 5-7 p.m. at Brocach, 7 West Main Street.
