Singletary advises on utility issues

As a rate analyst and policy advisor for the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin's Division of Gas and Energy, Corey Singletary works primarily on electric and gas and utility issues related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and smart grid technologies.

Singletary joined the Public Service Commission in May 2010 after graduating from the La Follette School with a Master of International Public Affairs and a certificate in energy analysis and policy.

He also works with the statewide Focus on Energy program, overseeing the Focus Evaluation Workgroup, and acts as a commission liaison with the Nelson Institute's Energy Analysis and Policy program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.

Singletary has served as a legislative intern in the U.S. Senate, a legislative affairs and policy intern in the Wisconsin governor's and as a program assistant with the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute.

While at the La Follette School, Singletary served as president of the UW Energy Hub. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and the Pi Alpha Alpha national honor society.

He holds bachelor's degrees in biological sciences and international studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
