DC Bobs launching Nerd Night May 23

La Follette School alumni in Washington, D.C. – DC Bobs – have scheduled the first of what are planned as monthly DC Bobs Nerd Night gatherings. Each Nerd Night includes a 20- to 30-minute presentation and similar length discussion.

Andrew Trembley (MIPA ’12) is hosting the May 23 event, and he will talk about how education around the world has changed since it was included in the 1948 United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. Alumni and guests are invited to arrive as early as 7 p.m.

There is no cost to attend; however, participants should bring their own beverages and money for ordering pizza. Other details, including location and sign-up, are on the Bobs in DC Facebook group or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. DC Bobs Nerd Night presentations will be informal and relaxed discussions about topics of interest, inspired by national Nerd Night events such as this one on the Nerd Nite website – Waterfails: Why are we so bad at managing water when we need it to live?
